Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix
Orientation
I absolutely love the Harry Potter series, and all of the books will always hold a special place in my heart.
Evaluasi 1
I have to say that of all of the books, however, this was not my favorite.
Evaluasi 2
When the series began it was as much of a "feel good" experience as a huge mug of hot cocoa. The stories were bright, fast-paced, intriguing, and ultimately satisfying.
Interpretation
Order of the Phoenix is a different kind of book. In some instances this works...you feel a whole new level of intensity and excitement by the time you get to the end. I was truly moved by the last page. Other times the book just has a slightly dreary, depressing feel. The galloping pace of the other books has slowed to a trot here, and parts of it do seem long, as if we're reading all about Harry "just hanging out" instead of having his usual adventures. Reading in detail about Harry cleaning up an old house, for example - housekeeping is still housekeeping, magical or no, and I'm not very interested in doing it or reading about other people doing it.
A few other changes in this book - the "real" world comes much more in to play rather than the fantasy universe of the previous books, and Harry has apparently been taken off his meds. I know that he had a lot to be grumpy in this book, especially with being a teenager and all, but the sudden change in his character seemed too drastic. He goes from being a warm-hearted, considerate person to someone who will bite his best friend's heads off over nothing. It just seemed like it didn't fit with his character, like he turned into a walking cliché of the "angry teen" overnight.
Summary
The "real" story seemed to happen in the last 1/3 of the book, and this part I loved. I actually liked the ending (and yes, I cried!) as sad as it was. It packed a punch and it made me care about the story even more. Still a really good book, with some editing it would have been great.

An Interview on the film “ The Maze Runner”

Orientation
Maze runner is a movie which is adapted from James Dashner novel with the same name. This movie tell us about a group of people who tried to get out from a place called Glade, but they need to go through the maze which have a danger creature called Grievers.
Evaluation
This movie tells about a boy named Thomas, wakes up inside an underground service elevator with no memory of his identity. A group of male youths greet him in a large grassy area called the Glade that is enclosed by tall, stone walls. Every month, a new boy and supplies arrive in the elevator. The boys, called Gladers, have formed a rudimentary society with each assuming specialized tasks, they have been in the Glade for about three years. Alby, their leader and the first to arrive in the Glade, says every boy eventually recalls his name, but none remember their past.
The boy learns that a vast Maze surrounding the Glade may provide the only way out. During the day, designated Runners search the Maze for an escape route, returning before nightfall when the entrance closes. No one has ever survived a night inside the Maze.
Then, the condition of the Glade starting to change when a female named Teresa come as the last person in the Glade. One day, the leader Alby get stung by a Griever. Then Thomas replace Alby place as the runner and he become Minho’s partner. The two of them then try to find way out from the maze.
Interpretation

The acting of all the casts is awesome. The development of the character is also good. But, the movie would be more alive if there is a romance scene. Because, as we know that romance is often catch the audience attention.
Summary
I think this movie is a great science-fiction movie. The movie shows us how to fight for life. The movie also shows that we can live with any races. For example are Minho and Alby. So, this movie is good for anyone to watch.

Reading the three plots of Marry Higgins Clark in All Through the Night concern a stolen gold ornamental cup, a missing baby, and a will which seems to be deceitful. To solve the mystery, she revives her beloved characters; Alvirah, the former cleaning woman; and Willy Meeham, the plumber who won the lottery. They left their life in Jackson Heights, Queens, for an apartment on Central Park. The two have fun along the way solving the puzzle.

The pace is swift and the story is pure escape - totally fun Mary Higgins Clark. I admit, however, that l am still trying to know what melody of the song "All Through the Night" sounds like.

This holiday season, put aside your chores and curl up on couch with All Through the Night. When you close it you will be relaxed and more ready to enjoy the festivities. And then you might just want to tuck a copy into someone's stocking or gift bag, as well.

1. What is the writer's suggestion for the holiday season

I absolutely love this novel, and this book will always hold a special place in my heart. Kathleen Kent's novel, from the perspective of young Sarah Carrier, was moving and informative. The Salem witch trials, and that time in history, were obviously well researched by Kent and written so that the reader can see and feel what the characters lived through.

The story happened quite a long time ago, when people were easily suspicious of everything and easily intimidated. It happened to Sarah carrier and her family and some unlucky people who were blamed by others for something they didn’t do.
Sarah and her family lived in the city of Andover, New England. She was only about ten years old when she realized that people living around their house were not really welcoming her family. Things got worse when her mother was arrested and sent to jail because of something she didn’t commit. She was accused of practicing black magic just because some women said so. They pretended to suffer from some kind of disease and pointed out that it was Martha Carrier’s doing. Following her mother, Richard, Sarah’s oldest brother was also sent to jail. Later on, even Sarah and her brothers Andrew and Tom were also put behind bars. It hurt Sarah when her mother asked her to admit that her mother was indeed practicing black magic. Her mother then was sentenced to death and Sarah and her brothers were released. So many years later, Sarah finally found out why her mother admitted being guilty of practicing black magic. Read the book and you’ll find a touching story of how much a mother loved her family so dearly.
